Steve Smith is one of the greatest Test batsmen of his generation. With his unorthodox but highly effective technique, he has consistently scored runs at the highest level and is among the leading run-scorers in Test cricket. He was twice named the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year.
Smith served as Australia's Test captain before serving a 12-month ban in 2018 following the ball-tampering incident. He returned to international cricket in 2019 and immediately proved his class, winning the Ashes Player of the Series award.
